Recently, I’ve really loved retro house styles. I guess it’s not a surprise because I love everything else retro as well! I love the shape and roundness of mid-century style, but unlike my grandmother’s mid-century style, which is earthy colors, I prefer bright, cheery colors and pastels. I’ve gathered together some images that I really love.
Hey guys! So back in November, when Jo-Ann’s had their black Friday sale, I bought some adorable vintage patterns. Among them wass this 1940’s suit (Simplicity 8242) that I fell in love with right away. But I had a bit of a dilemma – who was going to make it? My sewing talent is nearly nonexistent, so I certainly couldn’t…so I started looking around for people who I remembered were really good at dressmaking and such. I dug up Victoria, whose blog I’d already followed for quite a while, and guess what? She was willing to make me my suit!
I absolutely love vintage fashion. If it was inexpensive and easy enough, I would wear clothes from the ‘30s to the ‘60s all the time. A lot of my love for vintage fashion comes from the movies I watch, and today I’m going to share some of my favorite outfits from 1930s movies.
Today I am REALLY EXCITED to show you guys something I’ve wanted for a long, long time – a record player. I can’t remember HOW long I’ve wanted one, but I do know that I wanted one in July. Anyway, I wasn’t quite ready to spend the money yet, plus I didn’t own any records.
I love old movies, and I watch them on repeat. Over and over and over and over. And over. These nine movies are some of my favorites and definitely a must-see!
