“The sun that brief December day
rose cheerless over hills of gray.”
Only it was January, not December, and the sun didn’t have a chance to rise because it snowed in the night! So I suppose Whittier’s Snowbound doesn’t quite fit our case.
Hello hello! As I’m sure you guessed, we are back from our trip! We had a simply marvelous time and I can’t wait to share all about it. I’ll start with Sunday, the day after we arrived. Below are photos and then my journal entry.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to take this beautiful girl’s senior pictures. Joanna decided to do an urban background and I’m so pleased with her choice – it suits her so well and it was something new to experiment with for me! Joanna was so easy to work with and pose – it was freezing cold outside but she was game for anything!
Last week, we (meaning Granddaddy, Daddy, Mama and Muttie) moved a high tunnel into the garden that Granddaddy and the boys built. It just so happened that it got moved just as the sun was setting – and, as I had my camera, I got some amazing pictures!
Hey, guys! So it’s been a while since I did an “around the farm” post. I figured it was time for another!
*and i literally just realized that i spelled because wrong above. facepalm.*
October is such a lovely, lovely month for photography, nicht wahr? My camera and I are bffs on the property and you can bet we’ve been busy! Here’s proof of that.
Guess what? I DID IT. LIKE SERIOUSLY DID IT. I took a photo every single day all September long (except for the fact that i missed one day, but we won’t talk about that…)! So, you want to see them?
Well, ACTUALLY…it is, but I’ve seriously taken so many portraits now that I feel like I’ve got the hang of the portrait thing. I’ve photographed all of my cousins PLUS maternity pictures of my aunt! (And I get to do newborn pictures in January!) Now, I know that by now, you probably think that my blog is turning into a photography blog. Certainly three out of the six posts I published within a little more than two weeks ago have been photography, but I can’t help it! I present new ones to you today only for two reasons. One: I’ve had school, y’all, school (insert terrified face), two: I have less time (Because of SCHOOL) and therefore three: Less blog post configuring. Which means that I fall back on easy-to-make posts, like photography posts. It’s a crime, I tell you, a regular crime. I just need to sit down, write out some posts and get on with it! I shouldn’t hide behind school. Oh well, I guess you know what I’LL be working on now!
All that being rambled, I present to you some more portrait photography.
