Well, are you ready for the third day of our trip to St. Augustine? I think this was my favorite day :)

Today, we left around 11:00 to go see the Old Fort. It took us nearly 40 minutes to find parking! The fort was interesting…sort of. Lots of stone and cannons. Mainly people. We spent two hours there walking around and came back to eat lunch.

We went back downtown after lunch and it took at least an hour to find parking, if not more. We arrived 15 minutes early for our boat Ecotour, but the captain was ready, so we left early. The tour was WONDERFUL! It was Junior’s first time on a boat, and I haven’t been on a boat since I was nine, and never a small one like this one. We went North into the fog and it was so mystical 😉 There was a lot of damage from Hurricane Matthew. We went so far we were almost to the ocean :) Then we backtracked and went south and near some habitats. We saw a few dolphins and lots of birds! We passed an island that is a natural aquifer – it collects rainwater and filters it, I believe. We saw a bunch of oysters – did you know, they each filter a gallon water per hour?

Our tour wrapped up about sunset and I got some fantastic pictures. Boating is heaps of fun! I wish I had a boat (only, there’s no place for it around here…and boats don’t go very fast on dry land, I guess). 😛

So that was the third day! It was by far one of the most fun days while we were there :)

P.S. All them sunsets were just for you, Allison 😛

singing off,

Aww, thanks Sarah! YES I KNOW THEY WERE SO AMAZING. It’s so cool how you can get so many different types of sunset pictures all in one day!

And hey, I think we went there (to the fort)! I think I remember hearing that the walls were made out of coquina shells. Pretty neat, huh? Yeah, I agree. The fort was interesting – sort of. XD Heh heh.
